I have been taking personal training sessions here for a couple months. I have to say this is the first time I have a personal trainer who actively customises our sessions with the intention to improve my main sport. My previous personal trainers elsewhere were bodybuilders where the only endpoint was either larger or stronger.
It’s refreshing to notice a significant improvement in my speed or agility or reflexibility since i started with EMPWR. My physique also quietly improved along the way too, more of a side effect. Not bigger but more functional/operational.
The sessions are also never feel more than I cope with. It’s also great that my PT puts me through exercises I need to do to improve but otherwise wouldn’t have the willpower to do on my own; which is the whole point of personal training. Great place. Well equipped. Best of all - knowledgeable, professional coaches.
I've been doing personal training with Edwin at EMPWR for two months so far. This is my first time with a personal trainer and I've enjoyed every moment. Awesome gym and awesome trainer! Edwin is very knowledgeable and super dedicated to his clients.
While he pushes you hard every session, he also checks in the day before and adjusts based on how your recovery is doing. He has even helped me integrate a bit of physical therapy into my workouts after some issues with my knee.

My experience with Angela has been an amazing Journey so far! I walked in with a lofty goal given the stage of fitness I was at. Angela managed my expectations well at the same time kept me motivated saying that with the right work it can be achieved. She is a great mix of being a hard taskmaster at the same time having the ability to tweak the program based on how you are feeling on performing along the way.
Angela places a lot of emphasis on the right form (it was necessary for me given I have a back injury) and worked kept tweaking my nutrition plan and held me accountable. The facility is great with all the necessary equipments, not overly crowded at any point in time and a friendly group of instructors!
The transformation Angela helped me achieve was way beyond what I expected and I am at the best shape I have ever been!

Our gym features 3 power racks, multiple Gymleco machines, Concept 2 equipment, as well as other specialised equipment such as Run Rockets and Earthquake bars. Additionally, we have plenty of functional equipment such as dumbbells, kettlebells, medicine balls and sandbags to help you achieve your strength and fitness goals.
Situated at the heart of River Valley, EMPWR Personal Training offers a boutique and private training experience. Previously known as Rising Personal Training, our gym has been changing lives through sustainable body transformation since 2020.
We are fully equipped with a weightlifting platform, power racks, Gymleco machines, Concept 2 equipment, as well as functional equipment such as dumbbells, kettlebells and medicine balls.
Our personal training free trial is a non-obligatory session for us to get to know you and your goals better. We’ll do assessments on your fitness and posture, a health questionnaire, and provide some nutritional guidance to get you started.
